Hero Arts layering Peacock

It is the beginning of the month so time for a new Challenge at A2Z Scarpbooking.  This month I have a card for the 1st.

I made this card as part of the 90 mins scramble over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group last weekend.  I used a stencil for my subtle background and stamped and die cut the Layering Peacock.

Do pop over and visit the team to see what they have come up with.  Awesome inspiration from everyone.

More Poppies

It's my day to share at A2Z Scrapbooking today.  I've scheduled this as I'm still over in Perth... I'm enjoying using the Layering Poppy and today I have chosen to make a sympathy card.

I choose colours that would give a soft ethereal look

The use of the Soft Granite for the third layer added to the ethereal look.   The colours I used are listed in my supplies list below.   I have them all in cubes from different sets.  I added a thin line of gold pen around the outside of my panel and some splatters of watered down Gold Glitz ink.   The sentiment is from an older Hero Arts set (CL476 - Retired)

I also decorated an envelope to match

Hero Arts Orchid Birthday

It's my turn to share at A2Z Scrapbooking today and I've made a red and pink birthday card.  I used the same design as I used last week,

Orchid Birthday

I have used Hero Arts CL946 Color Layering Orchid in a Pot, stamping with a variety of pinky/red inks.  The leaves are stamped with three tones of green inks.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts CL738 Messages with Flourish (no longer available)  Finished it off with some sequins.

Summer flowers...

Summer has arrived here in Auckland (at last).  The weekend has been really lovely and this afternoon Hubby and I walked down to the beach and I lay on my towel and read my book.

This was my view laying on my back looking up at the wonderful blue sky.

And this is the new wharf at Murrays Bay.  Hubby went for a swim but way too cold for me yet.

So got home and decided I'd had enough sun for the day - time to participate in the Hero Arts Flickr group 90 min scramble.  It's a 24hr version, so you just take 90 mins any time in the 24hrs and make your card.  Cindy set the challenge - to use ALL the stamps in a set or use a background stamp.  I took the easy route with my set and used a layering flower Hibiscus set.

After a few false starts - not lining up my stamps well....(and still not 100% lined up) here is what I did

I used all the stamps together with some Hero Arts and Altenew inks and lots of masking.
Here is the set I used

I managed to get it made and photographed in 75 mins.   Nice to do a non Christmas card .... even though I still have heaps to make to get in the post in the next few days.  I'll be choosing a simple design to make multipes of for my NZ family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by

Ombre background wreath

It's my day to share at A2Z Scrapbooking.  Our challenge this month is Layers. I've gone for a coloured layer onto my white card base and then layers of ink on my wreath.   And I've chosen a non-traditional colour for my background,

img_2067

I made the ombre background with some purple inks and then stamped the wreath (CL907)  in a variety of green inks - Hero Arts, Altenew, Versafine and  Distress inks.  I added some red and blue stars and flowers and some dots of purple and platinum Stickles.   The sentiment is stamped in Versafine green ink.  I added a red ribbon bow to the wreath.   A nice CAS card.

This beautiful wreath also comes with a matching die set (DI152)
