Merry Christmas to all

Image result for merry christmas gif

Hoping all my followers have had a great Christmas

I had a fabulous day spend with Family and Friends, starting with Christmas Breakfast with my son, his partner and my little granddaughter.

Then we went with our friends, who had been staying with us, to Michael and Yvonne's place for lunch with their family and some of the children's in laws.  A total of 22 of us enjoyed each other's company and some amazing food.   Some of them went for a walk and swim at Murrays Bay.   And I finished the day off by watching "Love Actually" for the umpteenth time... Just love that movie!

Seasons Greetings to you all.

Kit and Clowder Swap

I can now share my card that I made to sent as part of the Kit and Clowder annual swap.  I sent this one to Lisabeth in Norway

This is a digital image from Mo Manning.  After printing it onto my card , I stamped the pine branches from a Sunny Studio set and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils.  I added kindyglitz to the hat and the edge of the top.  The sentiment is from a NZ company called Montarga Stamps.  I've used it a lot this year, mostly inside of my cards.

I received a beautiful card from Lisabeth

Isn't it beautiful.

I finished up work today for the year.  Two weeks off.   Totally looking forward to the break.

WWC#252 Marsha's "Special 3 Week Anything Goes" Challenge

Hi there.  It's time for Watercooler Wednesday challenge and our hostess Marsha has a 3 Week Anything Goes challenge.

I have a Christmas card to share today.  I take part in a swap with some crafty friends here in NZ.  And this is the card I made to send to Pip.  She chose the theme - use stitching on your card, either real or faux.

I due cut the Spellbinder die which has a dotted circle.  I took some bronze thread and stitched using the holes as my guide.  The sentiment is from a Kaisercraft stamp set and the bells are a Couture Creations stamp.   This is similar to another card I made earlier but I had done faux stitching on.

Come and join the fun.  Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge have created.  Then take our challenge and link your creation to the challenge post.  We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday at 5 pm Mountain Standard Time (Tuesday at 12.00 noon NZ time ) to link up your project.

Two more last minute Christmas cards

Hi there... my last two Christmas cards using the patterned paper pack I got the other day.

Both of the cards used some of the Couture Creations Bells as well.   I embossed the sentiment on the second card with some bronze metallic powder and added some Nuvo drops

As it's the last Christmas Kickstart, Jo has an Anything Goes  - Last minute Madness.. so I'll be entering my first card

Things are getting organised here for Christmas.  I finish work of Friday for a two week break - we are having Christmas Breakfast here with Kieran, Erin and Grace and a couple of friends from Napier, before heading to other friends for lunch with their family.  I plan to do some baking on Monday and Tuesday - some shortbread and mini pecan pies.

Enjoy the next week till Christmas.

Celebrate at Perfectly CAS challenge

I  saw the latest challenge was underway and knew I had to have a play.  CAS is my favourite style but using a third or less is still quite challenging

I used two little candles from a Catherine Pooler stamp set together with CP Design inks.  I stamped in a bit of a rainbow colour scheme.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I messed up one little bit so I had to trim the panel down and add to a base.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope your festive season is going well.  I'm getting organised.  Hubby won a ham in a raffle on Friday so I got it glazed yesterday and also had a little visit from our princess

She is crawling everywhere now and doesn't stop!  Can't wait for Christmas Day

This is an older Hero Art stamp and die set,  I used a little snowflake embossing folder to make my background panel and die cut the ornament.  I clear embossed the sentiment after stamping with black ink.   Finished with a little glittery ribbon bow.

A few last minute cards for Christmas

I had to make a few last minute Christmas cards and I decided I wanted to do a card for The Flower Challenge -

I brought a Couture Creations patterned paper the other day (despite telling myself I already have too much paper) and I used it to make my last minute cards.  II took the paper and added it a card base.  I had stamped and used my Scan'N'Cut to die cut some Poinsettias from as Kaisercraft stamp set.  I used Alcohol Markers to colour it in, added some Sparkle pen and a red gem for the centre.  The sentiment is from another Kaisercraft set.

My second card uses another sheet of paper and a Kaisercraft stamp.  Very quick and simple

Love this vintage Santa.  I added some Sparkle pen onto the fir around his coat and hat.

I did a few more too.  The paper is so lovely - all vintage-y and soft muted colours.

Thanks for stopping by.  Would love to hear what you think of my cards.

WWC#251 Dawn's "All About Ocassions" challenge.

Hi there.  Wednesday again and today it's my time to host the challenge.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a Dec birthday.

I recently purchased a magazine that had this Altenew stamp and stencil set.  I used some Altenew ink to do the spotlight stamping and just used the outline stamps for the other flowers.  The sentiment is from the stamp set.

Come and join the fun.  Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday
Challenge have created.  Then take our challenge and link your creation to the challenge post.  We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday at 5 pm Mountain Standard Time (Tuesday at 12.00 noon NZ time ) to link up your project.

Christmas at Sweet Stamp'in Challenge.

EDITED: Well duffus that I am... I've just realised that I've set this post for the wrong day.... our challenge started yesterday....but here it is anyway!

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge today and our theme is Christmas

I'm sharing another Jingle Bells card.

I have been doing a few cards with this design and using up some patterned papers.   I used Prismacolor pencils again to colour in the bells and used Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on bells.  The Spellbinders die was cut with white card and I used a gold pen to faux stitching.  As I cut my paper in half (a 6"x6" sheet) so I added some shiny washi tape to the top and bottom of the papers.  Just love the Kaisercraft sentiment.

Do come and join us at Sweet Stampin' Challenge with your Christmas Project.

Jingle Bells

Hi there.... Christmas is sneaking up quickly.   I sold some of my Christmas cards to people at work, so I've been making a few more.

I used a Mini stamp from Couture Creations - bells and stamped it numerous times onto white card and used my Scan'N'Cut to cut them out so a ready supply of stamps for colouring and making into cards.

This first one I used Copic markers to colour my bells and then used an embossing folder to make my background.  My sentiment is from a Kaisercraft set.

Second card used Prismacolor pencils to colour the bell

I added some Opal Dust gel to add some glitter to the image.  I added some washi tape to the top and bottom of my panel and then ran through the Cuttlebug with an Altenew stencils and my rubber mat to give some subtle texture to the card.  The little doily die is from Catherine Pooler Designs. I didn't add a sentiment to the front of this one, added one inside.

and a third card using the bells

I used some vintage music that I found on Pintrest and printed to fit my card.  I used my Prismacolor pencils again and added a little sentiment onto the bottom of the music panel.  I am entering this one into the Traditional Christmas challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I've actually done another three or so bell card but will share over the next little while.   Have to say I had lots of fun doing different designs with the bells... hit on one design I've used a number of times which uses up some of my ENORMOUS supply of patterned papers.

thanks for stopping by.  I'm having a very quiet weekend at the beach - with no supplies just relaxing.  Have a great weekend all.

Traditional Christmas

I've made a Christmas card for two challenges - Jo's Christmas Kickstart challenge theme is "The Christmas Story" and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge theme is "Traditional Christmas"

Last year I pinned some vintage music sheets - mostly Christmas music.   I printed the "O Little Town of Bethlehem" sheet music to fit onto an A6 card base.  I edged with some Vintage Photo distress ink. The silhouette die is from Couture Creations.   I saved my sentiment for inside the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

WWC#250 Helen's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello there, it’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Helen is our hostess this week with a Feminine "Anything Goes"  challenge.

My card today is using my favourite Purple colour with some pretty Altenew roses.

I used Altenew Sweet Rose Bouquet stamp in Altenew inks - Wisteria, Hydrangea, Ultraviolet and Andromeda.  I stamped the leaves in Sweet Leaf, Just Green and Hunter Green.   The sentiment is from a Casual Fridays for Catherine Pooler Stamp of Approval set called "All About You" stamped in the Andromeda ink.  I has a small smudge so I die cut some little purple stars from the All About You die set and added them as embellishments.

Come and join the fun.  Check out the projects that the other artists at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge have created.  Then take our challenge and link your creation to the challenge post.  We'd love to have you join us.  You have until Monday at 5 pm Mountain Standard Time (Tuesday at 11.00am NZ time ) to link up your project.

Christmas at CCC Reveal and a Vintage Santa

I have heard from my recipient to say my card had arrived for the November CCC.  I chose to send a Christmas card to my CCC partner as it was one of my very best online friends.... none other than the lovely Greta Hess....aka GG Creations

Here is the card I made for her using the theme of Baubles.

My background paper was some wrapping paper that came from charity I help as a thank you for the donations this year.  I trimmed a little bit to the make the background, layered onto some bronze/gold card.  I die cut the Altenew Mid Century Frame die from the same bronze/gold card as well as the sentiment from Britannia Dies.  My baubles are a little stamp from Couture Creations that I stamped on a white circle.  I used a variety alcohol markers to colour them and added some glitter gel.

And I have a card to share that I added to the "Show us your Santas" at Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge

This stamp is a white silicone stamp from La Blanche that I got many years ago.  I used Catherine Pooler ink - Eucalyptus ink and Altenew Obsidian ink to stamp the image.  I added some pencils on the holly to enhance it.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.  I tore around the image and added some of the green ink to distress.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope your Christmas cards are coming along.  I'm off to start addressing mine.

Christmas Teddy

Hi there.  It's a new month so time for new challenge at Die Cut Divas.    Our challenge theme this month is WINTER OR CHRISTMAS 2019.  We have two sponsors

I used Xmas Teddy with Gift for my card today

I printed the image onto white card and also onto the same paper as my background.  I then paper pieced the dress.  I used a mixture of Copics and Altenew Alcohol markers to colour the image.  I die cut the image with a Nellie's Die.  and added it with dimensional tape to the patterned paper.   The sentiment is some washi tape added to some white card.

Do come and join us at Die Cut Divas and show us your Christmas cards or Winter cards.
